Abstract
The antiphospholipid syndrome is a heterogeneous pathology with thrombotic, obstetric and non-thrombotic manifestations, associated with the presence of different antiphospholipid antibodies. Its catastrophic form is rare, in most cases it is related to a triggering factor and it manifests itself with the presence of multiple thrombi that can be lodged in any part of the body and that histologically appear as a thrombotic microangiopathy. This disease must be recognized in a timely manner for the immediate establishment of triple therapy, which decreases its mortality.
