Resumen
El penfigoide gestacional (PG) es una enfermedad cutánea rara, prurítica, autoinmune, y pertenece a las dermatosis del embarazo. Esta ocurre principalmente entre el segundo, tercer trimestre y/o posparto inmediato, con un brote vesiculobuloso pruriginoso de inicio periumbilical. El diagnóstico se basa en la clínica, histología de la lesión, inmunofluorescencia directa y ELISA. La mayoría de los casos se trata con antihistamínicos y corticoesteroides. El PG está asociado con aumento de la morbilidad en las embarazadas y riesgos fetales, y por dicha razón, es importante el reconocimiento de la patología para brindar un adecuado manejo interdisciplinario con dermatología, obstetricia y anatomía patológica.
