Resumen
El uso de anestésicos intravenosos en procedimientos endoscópicos ha evolucionado considerablemente en las últimas décadas, con un enfoque creciente en la seguridad y el confort del paciente. Los anestésicos como propofol, midazolam, fentanilo, ketamina, etomidato, y dexmedetomidina han demostrado ser eficaces para lograr la sedación y analgesia necesarias. En particular, las benzodiazepinas continúan desempeñando un papel crucial en la sedación consciente, destacando por su capacidad para reducir la ansiedad y proporcionar amnesia anterógrada. Este artículo revisa los avances recientes con un enfoque en su farmacología eficacia, seguridad y consideraciones clínicas.
