Abstract
Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) refers to the rupture of the membranes before starting labor. Preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM) is the rupture of membranes during pregnancy before 37 weeks' gestation. Fetal morbidities associated with (PROM) include : ascending infection and compression of the uterine cord. The physical exam is very important for diagnosis.
