Abstract
Mastitis is inflammation of one or several lobes of the mammary gland, with or without infection.onset is typically fairly rapid and occurs within the first few months of delivery, especially between the second and third week of the puerperium, and occurs in 4- 8% of cases. The diagnosis is clinical and the main complication is breast absces.
