Abstract
The COVID-19 has affected health-care workers' psychological and mental health. There were an increase of psychological and mental disorders inn health workers compared to the general population, the increase was due to problems related to work stress. During the COVID 19 pandemic, health workers who were in critical areas and emergency services were the most affected, due to the high demand for care, long shifts, wear of personal protective equipment, and high level of responsibility. Epidemiological studies have shown the negative effects of long working hours on the COVID 19 areas. Within health workers, the nursing staff were the most affected. The psychological symptoms most perceived by COVID'19 health staff, were pressure, stress and anxiety.
