Abstract
Ovarian choriocarcinoma is a germ cell tumor with very low incidence, which can be gestational or non-gestational depending on its etiology. Patients present a variety of symptoms, from abdominal pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, secondary effects of elevated hCG to secondary symptoms of metastases, frequently in the lung and brain. Its diagnosis is very difficult and tends to be confused with other ovarian pathologies. Ultrasound, as well as pathological and genetic studies, are generally needed to make an accurate diagnosis. They are generally treated with cycles of chemotherapy and surgical management. Survival depends on the stage at the time of diagnosis.
