Abstract
Anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor encephalitis is a neurological entity that occurs mainly with psychiatric manifestations. In most cases it is a para-neoplastic presentation of an ovarian teratoma in young women, so the presence of this entity should always be considered in this ethereal group, when suspecting any psychiatric pathology of a psychotic nature. The diagnosis of this pathology is made by finding the antibodies in the lumbar puncture. Usually, the pathology remits when the underlying tumor is removed, in addition the usage of steroids and immunoglobulins to improve the future prognosis of these patients
