Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought with it a series of effects in different social sectors, both economic, social and, of course, health. However, health personnel have been psychologically affected after constant exposure to this disease, long working hours and the physical and mental deterioration that fighting in the first line of defense entails. Among the factors that contribute to the development of anxiety disorders, depression, insomnia, among others, are the age factor, the social context and interpersonal relationships, the lack of training, the level of exposure to infected patients, among others. All these factors and their repercussions on the health of health workers are a problem that should not go unnoticed, this by virtue of safeguarding the well-being of those who are in the first line of defense against COVID-19.
