Abstract
Hypertension is the most common medical problem encountered during pregnancy. Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy are associated with an increased risk of perinatal morbidity and mortality. The proper management of hypertension and complications can optimize the results.
Hypertension disorders during pregnancy are classified into 4 categories:
- Chronic hypertension
- Preeclampsia-eclampsia
- Preeclampsia superimposed on chronic hypertension
- Gestational hypertension
The treatment depends on the classification
