Abstract
Vaginal bleeding in late pregnancy is one of the main causes of hospitalization before delivery, maternal morbidity and surgical intervention. Perinatal outcomes have higher rates of premature births and perinatal deaths than pregnancies that do not present with bleeding; These findings are observed even when the specific diagnosis of the causes of bleeding is unknown.
