Abstract
An intestinal obstruction refers to blockage of intestinal, is a potentially serious condition in which the intestines are blocked. The blockage may be either partial (incomplete) or totally occluded (complete) without vascular compromise. In strangulated intestinal obstruction there is compromised vascular flow associated with necrosis and / or gangrene.
