Abstract

Hormonal contraception is one of the main methods of women's choice to prevent unwanted pregnancies. This therapy, due to its pharmacological effect and its multiple forms of administration, has led to a revolution in the area of sexuality and family planning. Currently, depression is a common disease in the female population, so it is of special interest to study the phenomena that may be its precursors, due to this there are multiple investigations that have been given to the task of establishing the possible existing relationship between contraception and depression as a side effect.
