Abstract
It is a seasonal disease is prevalent during the rainy and cold season. Children less than 2 years of age are the most affected population.
80% of episodes of bronchiolitis are caused by respiratory syncytial virus.
Clinical manifestations in infants are nonspecific; however, they have established the most common signs and symptoms such as cough, runny nose, nasal congestion, low fever and wheezing.
In the treatment can be highlighted are good hand washing, avoid airway irritants (passive smoking), promote breastfeeding, vaccination day.
