Abstract
Pyoderma gangrenosum could be, in some cases, the most visible manifestation of a systemic disease. Once histological confirmation of pyoderma gangrenosum by biopsy is made and other causes of skin lesions had been excluded, it is important to conduct a comprehensive diagnostic workup to determine if the lesion is associated with a systemic disease. In the context of this patient, it was determined that these skin lesions were associated with inflammatory bowel disease that had not been previously documented. The treatment of these two pathologies goes hand in hand, so is relevant to determine the characteristics of each patient in order to achieve appropriate therapeutic interventions.
