Resumen
Se describe la hembra de Lutzomyia pastorae n. sp., capturada en la población de “La Matica”, municipio Andrés Eloy Blanco, del estado Lara, Venezuela. La especie puede ser identificada por la forma característica de las espermatecas. Pertenece al grupo Verrucarum de Theodor (1965). Es antropofílica, pero se desconoce su rol como posible transmisor de patógenos al hombre.
